Resume Tips and Job Hunting Advice from the Emurse Blog: November, 2006

New Features

E-mail Notifications: Premium users will now receive more detailed e-mail notifications when someone views their web resume. The domain and referring page will be included. :)

Top Search Keywords: We’ve added a new report to the statistics available for web resumes. Users have been receiving more and more search traffic to their web resumes as our google ranking improves. You can now see what the top search keywords are for each of your hosted resumes!

Allow Index: To continue our commitment to user privacy, you can now control whether or not we allow search engines to index your page. De-selecting “Allow Index” will ask search engines not to store your resume.

Updates

Only a few announcements to make, as we’re knee deep in a new development cycle. There was a bug that caused some resumes not to update right away when being downloaded. This is believed to be fixed, but please keep us posted if you encounter any funny business. We’ve also added the ability to “page” through suggested jobs on the home tab. You can now click next/previous to see more than three jobs.

If you’ve requested a feature and still haven’t seen it, there is a chance it’s being wrapped up into the next release. We’re not going to give time tables right now, except to say as soon as we can. Performance wise, we’ve completed half of the server transition, but still have more work to do. We’re using this as an opportunity to address some other issues while we’re at it ;)

Thanks for the continued support! We’re growing larger every day, and we wouldn’t be experiencing this success without our wonderful user community!
